My name is Pete Conti. I genuinely enjoy designing and building systems, and have a track record of professional delivery.

My practice, Conti Digital LLC, is a one-person architecture and platform engineering consultancy in Naples, Florida. I work directly with owners and technical leaders on custom commerce, legacy modernization, regulated data systems, and production AWS platforms.

Credentials

Formal training, AWS credentials, and production ownership.

Judgment under constraints: cloud architecture, data integrity, migration risk, and systems that have to keep running after launch.

AWS Solutions Architect - Professional + Associate

AWS architecture credentials applied to Terraform-managed systems, ECS services, OpenNext/Lambda frontends, and regulated architecture planning.

B.S. Computer Science, Oregon State

Completed with a 4.0 GPA. The foundation shows up in system design, code quality, testing discipline, and production debugging.

B.S. Chemistry, Temple University

Research training in measurement, uncertainty, and experimental discipline. That mindset matters in migrations where small data errors compound.

Production platform operator

Built and operate Fine's Gallery's custom commerce platform, now handling more than $500K/month in revenue with integrated invoicing and async workflows.

How I work

I run a solo active-build consultancy. There is no sales layer or junior delivery team, and no handoff from strategy to implementation. If I take the work, I am accountable for understanding the business workflow, designing the system, writing critical code, managing the AWS shape, and ensuring incident-free production cutover.

Projects where I would be a good fit include high-ticket ecommerce operations seeking to move beyond SaaS storefronts like Shopify and Bigcommerce, legacy systems modernization, technical guidance regarding platform or infrastructure decisions, AWS Payload CMS projects, or the design of AWS architecture / solutions for mid-enterprise level greenfield or migration projects.

Bad fits include generic websites, mobile apps, staffing-agency development, and pure marketing work. I would rather define the boundary clearly than pretend every request belongs here.

Production Proof

Implementation-heavy track record.

The strongest proof is not a list of capabilities. It is work already shipped or extracted from shipped systems.

Fine's Gallery commerce platform

Custom Next.js/Payload/AWS commerce and operations platform supporting more than $500K/month in revenue, integrated invoicing, inventory, payments, media, and staff workflows.

Confidential registry architecture

Designed UTXO-style ledger architecture, PgSQL mutation layer, invariant testing strategy, and sovereign AWS roadmap for a regulated certificate registry.

Open-source software

Published production-derived GA4 and Google Merchant Center integrations for Payload CMS, with the broader intent of extracting reusable software from real client work.

This site as reference architecture

The Conti Digital site is its own platform: Payload backend on ECS, OpenNext frontend on Lambda, Terraform-managed AWS, and cache-aware publishing.

Background

My path into this work was not linear. I studied chemistry first, then computer science, then built real systems because the combination of careful measurement and software fundamentals fit the kinds of problems I was experiencing: haphazard workflows, fragile data, undocumented operations, and businesses that could not afford a bad migration.

Fine's Gallery became the anchor proof point: a luxury retail business with catalog complexity, high-ticket transactions, operational history, and staff workflows that could not simply be thrown away. The work expanded from ecommerce into invoicing, payments, documents, global supply chain management, async processing, analytics, and day-to-day technical leadership.

The confidential energy-sector registry work added a different kind of constraint: auditability, ledger integrity, regulatory posture, and cloud sovereignty. That is why the consultancy now positions around high-stakes platform work instead of generic software development.

I run the consultancy from Naples, Florida, however, clients are distributed across luxury commerce, energy infrastructure, and regulated data systems, and the work is done where it makes sense: onsite when a workflow has to be observed in person, remote when the system has been understood well enough to design and build at distance. Conti Digital LLC is registered as an AWS Partner Network Services Path member (Partner ID 2611846).

The practice does not optimize for headcount, recurring SaaS-style revenue, or growth into an agency. It optimizes for a small number of high-stakes engagements per year where the buyer needs a senior engineer to be accountable end-to-end and where the work is worth doing carefully.
